Getting out the screwdriver again
This time I'm bringing out my digital camera. I was really proud of myself for a few hours, having gone to the junkyard and bought a window, taken apart my door, and singlehandedly installed it after vaccuming glass for what seemed like hours from my carpet and seats. Well, Wendy and I went for a drive, and while she ran into a store for dogfood, I rolled the window up and down a few times, gloating at how I'd done such a swell job. Since things happen to me as if I was in a fishtank (think The Truman Show), of course the window I was admiring made a funny sound and sank into the door, disappearing beneath the weatherstripping with a thud. And now I shall take my Bridgeport Brewery Ropewalk Amber Ale, sit on the curb swearing softly and bleeding from the knuckles, and take apart my cardoor again and again and again, because I had a good time the first time. On the bright side, the sun is shining.
